POLICE BRUTALITY
DEFINITION: “The excessive use of force by those whose duty it is to use force if necessary to maintain law and order. From the early 1960’s to the 1990’s, the issue of police brutality repeatedly strained relations between the police and racial minorities.” (American Justice)
