ANABOLIC STEROIDS

 

DEFINITION:  “Anabolic steroids are the synthetic versions of the naturally occurring male sex hormone testosterone; they are properly called anabolic-androgen steroids because they have both body building (anabolic) and masculinizing (androgenic) effects.” (Encyclopedia of Drugs and Alcohol)
