The University/College
Library is a joint library facility serving BCC and FAU students, faculty,
and staff. The U/CL will loan library books and materials to
current students, faculty, and staff of BCC and FAU. Your valid student or faculty
ID is your library card. See the U/C Library FAQ's on how to obtain an ID card.
The library card is good as
long as the student is currently enrolled or faculty or staff member is
currently employed. Each borrower is responsible for all library
materials charged out on his/her library card. FAU Patrons must have their U/CL
information updated each term. This must be done in person at the Circulation
Desk the first time, but after that can be updated by telephone (954.201.6649),
or online at the Library

U/CL allows reciprocal
borrowing for faculty and students of other State of
For Reciprocal Borrowers and
SEFLIN card holders the loan period for books or computer software is 21 days with no renewals. There is a limit of five items
that may be checked out. If the borrower has five items already on loan,
he/she will not be able to check out more items until the previous ones
are returned. Delinquent borrowers will be sent an overdue notice and his/her
home institution will be notified as well. Borrowed materials must be
returned directly to the University/College Library. Reciprocal
Borrowers and SEFLIN card holders must observe all U/CL fines and fees.
Renewals may be done in
person at the Circulation Desk, by telephone (954.201.6649) or online at “My
Account” on the LINCC
Web page. Renewals can only be done one time when the material is NOT
overdue.
FAU students who have charged
books out from the FAU Boca Library may renew or return their books at the U/CL
Circulation Desk.
Fines are charged for overdue
materials; borrowers are responsible for any lost or damaged items charged to
their card. Students should clear any Library or Learning Resource obligations
as failure to do so can interfere with registration, graduation, and
transcripts.

The U/C Library disclaims all
responsibility for any reported damage sustained by patron's equipment
attributed to the use of audiovisual or computer materials checked out from the
Library. This includes use of videotapes, audiocassettes, diskettes,
CD-ROMs, DVDs, etc.
The
U/C Library does not accept credit, debit or check cards or any bills higher
than $20.00. All fees are set by the Broward Community College Board
Policy. No refunds after one year of date due.
